ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE:
Mitsouko is part of Guerlain’s Legendary fragrance collection.
A collection made of emblematic fragrances, composed for more than a century by 5 generations of Perfumers.
These mythical pioneer perfumes compose a unique olfactive library, that the Maison Guerlain endeavors to preserve.

FRAGRANCE FAMILY:
Woody

KEYNOTES:
Peach, Jasmine Flowers, May Rose, Vetiver.

Jacques Guerlain named his creation “Mitsouko” after the name of the heroine in the bestselling novel of that time called La Bataille.
Mitsouko, a beautiful married Japanese woman, secretly loves a British officer. In 1905, the Russo-Japanese war breaks out.
Mitsouko awaits with dignity the outcome of the battle, nobly dominating her feelings.
Jacques Guerlain had the incredible and daring idea of combining a chypre with a very fruity peach note, giving this fragrance all of its modernity.

ABOUT THE BOTTLE:
Designed by Raymond Guerlain, its iconic “inverted heart” bottle is underscored with graceful scrolls typical of Art Nouveau.
Its avant-garde stopper, in the form of a hollowed heart, evokes the delicate romanticism of this perfumery masterpiece and represented a real technical feat at the time.

Spray the fragrance on the pulse points i.e. your neck and wrists, they emanate heat that helps the fragrance project from your skin for a longer-lasting, stronger scent.

Immerse yourself in our rich heritage, be captivated by our alluring scents, and experience the transformative power of Guerlain. Join the Guerlain legacy and indulge in the art of timeless beauty perfected by generations.

Mysterious elegant perfume
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This elegant ‘mitsouko’ perfume which actually means mystery in Japanese is an intriguing, powerful and feminine fragrance. It has spicy peach and patchouli combines to give a unique scent. I have fallen in love with this perfume and have gotten lots of compliments from my partner. The design of the packaging is exquisite. Stylish and romantic this perfume will transport your senses.

Questionable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited for this perfume to arrive and with a name like Guerlain I expected a beautiful scent however this one is just not for me. It says it is a fruity/floral scent with rose and peach, however I can not smell any of this within the perfume itself. It has a slightly spicy scent to it. I would say that this perfume is not particularly for my age range (middle age) and would say it would suit the older population. On a plus note it’s a lovely shaped bottle and modern design with an expensive look. I wouldn’t purchase this however I have had other Guerlain perfumes in the past that have suited my personal taste and this will not deter me from purchasing others in the future.

Great perfume, but could last longer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn't the sort of perfume I would normally go for. It's a fairly mature scent, but it combines 2 of my absolute favourite scents; jasmine and patchouli! It's strong and intense, but I just wish it would last longer.

Fabulousness in a bottle!
Madame Blubell famous for the Lido in paris and Blubell girls dance troup, wore this perfume. My Aunt who was a Blubell girl then also wore it. I remember her bedroom always carried the scent of it, which I loved. I was determined to wear it as well , but not until I was older as not a young person's scent. It's sultry ,musky and intriguing, so you need some life experience behind you to do it justice.! I wear it everyday and often get told how lovely I smell by complete strangers . It would be my luxury on a desert island and makes my day every morning when I give myself a spritze.

Delicious perfume
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect perfume post Christmas (treat for myself). It is floral with a hint of spice. It is mature but sensual. I feel this elegant but classy scent will be my perfume of choice from now onwards. I normally steer towards more zesty perfumes but I am drawn to this scent!!

Emblematic chypre
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mitsouko is such an emblematic fragrance! An elegant, mature and complex chypre, a perfume that I needed to wear for days to understand and to truly appreciate, and finally, to review. This is a perfume with a limited group of fans. It is not for everyone, it is not mainstream and it is not “an everyday perfume”. It is an earthy-mossy-warm spicy chypre, so complex and so perfectly balanced into an emblematic and unique scent-zone. The opening is fizzy, rich and smooth. Ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine, blended to perfection, into a floral bubbly top. The middle, more silky and creamy, brings the peach note, aldehydic and soft. I like it so much! It is like a “balance-note” that blends all the notes into this perfect symphony. I feel that it adds a powdery touch to the perfume, as well. The base, it is so warm and spicy and comforting: cinnamon, vetiver, spices, amber and oak moss! These notes and so indulgent, so soft and they settle this fragrance so beautifully and cozy! I wouldnt consider this an evening perfume only. It can successfully be worn during the day-time, but in small quantities and only when dress-up. A tough day at the office. Lunch in a fancy place. Mitsouko is not just a fragrance. It deserves time and understanding, and moreover, appreciation. Created in a very revolutionary period in history, it brings its spirit along. It is beyond emblematic, it is decadent and self-indulgent and I believe that every perfume-connaiseur should own it. I feel that I am beyond lucky to be given the chance to try it, to have it and to appreciate it.

Can't be without my Mitsouko!
I have used Mitsouko for so many years now ... it is "part of me"! It is so much nicer than more modern perfumes - a real classic and extremely feminime without being cutesy which for me, at 80, is such a boon. So many people remark on it and ask what it is and want to try and and it just smells so different on different people which makes it such an original scent to wear. I like the Eau de Parfum as it lasts very well (virtually all day) so turns out to be more economical than the Eau de Toilette.
