Hugo boss!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Hugo Boss Bottled Parfum, and it feels like a more mature, refined take on the original. The first spray is warm and a little spicy, with notes of apple and woods that come through right away. As it settles, it gets richer and deeper with this smooth, almost creamy woody base that makes it feel sophisticated but still easy to wear. The longevity is impressive. It stuck around for most of the day without fading too much, and I even caught whiffs of it later in the evening. It’s not loud or overpowering, but it has a presence that feels confident and polished. To me, this is a fragrance that works best in cooler weather or for evenings out. It has that classy, dressed-up vibe but is versatile enough for everyday if you like something warm and bold.

This is versatile, and definitely a signature scen

Not a bad amberwood, but an amberwood nonetheless
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as amberwoods go, it's alright. Smells pretty much like any other frag you pick up at the men's fragrance department at Macy's, so that already means my maximum rating's gonna be 3 stars just for very low originality, but there are some high points. The citrus opening, albeit short-lived, is nice and unexpected for this kind of smooth woody slightly sweetened ambery scent. The drydown I actually perceive as sandalwood rather than cedar; it might just be the combination of milky fig, powdery iris, and cedarwood that are mixing together to give that effect, but it is quite nice. For the rest of the scent, expect high doses of the usual suspects of ambroxan, ISO-E, amber xtreme, cashmeran, and the like. No incense or leather anywhere to be found.
