Double Wear 24H Waterproof Gel Eye Pencil Eyeliner (ONYX)

I will never use this product again as unfortunately a small piece of the eyeliner became lodged in the top of my eyelid. This resulted in me not being able to open my eye properly and being in a lot of pain. I ended up having to visit a local minor injuries clinic where they had to wash my eye out which flushed out the small piece of eyeliner. I have used EstÈe Lauder eyeliner for many years without any problems. But the new gel formula is too soft and extremely difficult to remove. After my frightening experience today, I will never use the product again.

Initially, I was so pleased with this gel eye pencil...in 05 SMOKE, the colour was a perfect match as was the ease of application. Although a little expensive, I splashed out for a special occasion!! However, when I tried to sharpen the end with my estee lauder sharpener I was horrified to find it just kept breaking off every time...so much so, I was left with half the pencil, after using it only a few times. I now avoid using it frequently as I will have nothing left in no time!!!

I have used EL eye pencils (double wear) for about 15 years and they were great. However, the latest pencils have been changed and they don't sharpen properly. I'm wasting so much and they're not cheap. Yes, I am using an EL sharpener. In fact I bought 2 new ones recently and neither work properly. Please can you change back to the old 'formula' and bring back the dark blue colour. I can't believe all the negative reviews on this product. Are EL going to do anything about it?

I went to repurchase my coffee eyeliner & was told by the Sales Assistant that the espresso was exactly the same. It's not the same, it comes out practically black. It doesn't glide on easily, it's hard to remove and it constantly needs sharpening. When sharpening the wood splits and the pencil is uncomfortable. Bring back the coffee original pencil please!!

Having used double wear eye pencils for many years, I will not be buying any more. If you want an expensive pencil that breaks, crumbles and refuses to sharpen whilst using an EL sharpener then this is for you. My advice, save your money & buy the MAC waterproof eye pencil unless EL actually listen to their loyal customers and bring back the old formula.

I bought this Double Wear 24H Waterproof Eye Pencil in Smoke colour, because I had this for years and I was satisfied. The colour is really lasting which is great, but it's extremely soft/tender like a butter, which makes it really hard to work with. And the price has gone up really high which isn't equal with the quality which this product gives.

Really disappointed the original pencil has been discontinued. I started using this pencil when I was 15 yrs and my parents bought me a beautiful make up set for my birthday. Now 60yrs I find the gel pencil causes irritation in my eyes and so will need to look for an alternative. Please bring back the original or this will be the end of an era.

This eyeliner is a revelation for me. No other stays on like this. The colours are beautiful,there is a lot of pencil for your money and it's very easy to use. I have a problem with panda eyes from my makeup running. Not any more. This eyeliner with the double lash waterproof mascara stays on all day! I'm absolutely delighted!
