Premium perfume
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gucci TAG of a snake is a fabulous scent which comes in equally fabulous packaging! Housed in a jet black and shiny gold box, the ergonomic black and gold bottle is full of fragrance! Distinctly different from my usual perfume experience – once you pop open the premium looking gold lid this fragrance contains more than just the perfume – it contains a perfumed oil which, after application to the wrist intensifies the scent of the woody, mahogany eau de parfum which sprays out of the pretty bottle with ease, creating an intense and rich fragrance that lasts all day long. Throughout the day I received ample compliments on the fragrance I was wearing – alchemy at its finest!

The perfect foresty Oud!!!
I purchased a decant of this to test out and one day I’d like to afford the full size. This scent is the perfect foresty green oud. The notes are Oud, Saffron, and Patchouli. It blends so well, but the only issue is it fades quite quick, but that may be an issue with the dauber stick doing less perfume than a traditional spritz.

OK for men
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The perfume comes in a lovely box with beautiful design and high quality glass bottle. The perfume itself is described as for both men and women. However I would say this is more aimed towards men. It is extremely strong unique smelling perfume. As a woman it is not something I would wear on a daily basis. However my husband very much enjoyed wearing it. It is musky, oak strong smelling. Perhaps it's like marmite - you either love it or hate it. It's a no from me personally but the design is lovely and can be mixed with other alchemist perfumes to make your own unique perfume.

Smells like a middle eastern prince might!
You have to like oud. First and foremost. This is a fragrance that you can tell uses expensive ingredients. It smells so rich, not as in money, but in depth of its scent. It’s dark and mysterious. It’s true to its name. This is a very strong fragrance. It’s up there with Oud Maracuja or Oud Stallion when it comes to performance. Known for being super unique and strong, the Maison Crivelli scents are the closest I can make to a similar vibe, or maybe even Ombré Nomade. All three: super strong, huge sillage, and very distinct. The Oud in The Voice of the Snake isn’t animalic, but it is very deep and earthy. It’s like a true Middle Eastern Oud toned down a bit to smell somewhat more commercial or designer. I really like it, but there are not many occasions I find wanted to wear this as it’s projection and scent profile is out of this world, and can be a little overpowering in certain environments and situations. This isn’t my first Gucci Alchemist Garden scent, won’t be my last of the others smell as opulent as The Voice of the Snake.

Style over substance?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is beautiful. Given the range is the Alchemist's Garden I thought this parfum was going to have more herbal/outdoor notes to it. Indeed the description of this mentions Patchouli and Saffron. It is also stated to be woody. I usually really enjoy spicy woody scents. However, the leathery, smoky Oud of this one is over powering and overall quite one dimensional. It is extremely strong and therefore long lasting. It seems it is meant to be layered with other products however I wasn't sent those to try and therefore perhaps wasn't able to give this a fair test.

Strong scent - long lasting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all the packaging and this bottle are beautiful and looks expensive. The fragrance has base notes of earthy oud and patchouli combined with a sweet smooth top not of saffron. The scent to me is strong and lasted the entire day without the need for re applying however it also feels soft and not over powering at all. It’s for both men and women and my husband also tried it out, we both received lots of comments from our friend’s family and co workers about how nice it smelt. It’s luxury in a bottle which you would expect from the brand and the price range.

Gucci perfume the voice of the snake
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this perfume wich I'm quite surprised as it's not the usual smell I would go for. It's very woody and spicy yet still sweet wich I loved. I only had to spray the perfume once in the morning and it lasted all day wich was amazing. I sprayed 3 sprays in total every morning. I had so many compliments even at the end of the day when I thought it had wore off, it was still going strong wich was brilliant as I like my perfumes to last all day and not have to keep spraying more. The bottle is also quite quirky and I love the colour of the bottle, it looks very modern and sophisticated. The smell is also very distinctive and smells like an expensive perfume. Overall I can't say anything bad about this and I loved it.
