Les Légendaires L'Initial Women Perfume (75ml)

I fell in love with this scent when in was part of the Shalimar range. It became my signature scent and because it worked so well with my chemistry, it was like it became part of me. It was how I wanted to present myself. Scents can be like that with people. It got discontinued and I was completely devastated. Now, it’s back as a stand alone scent at the request of customers who adore this scent, and I’m so thrilled. I really don’t care what you call it or what bottle you put it in. It’s the scent I’m after. As long as I have my scent, I am happy! Thank you Guerlain for bringing back my scent. Once you love something, you don’t want to settle for something else. Please don’t ever discontinue this again.

I'm a fan of the old Shalimar and while I love Jasmine Bonheur, I needed something in my price range. I looked for something with similar notes and I decided to take the jump and try L'intial. I now have a new favorite! It starts with a subtle powdery note that leaves a lingering sweetness with a hint of spice. It is not the over the top sweetness I find in many fragrances, nor is it the spice/powder that comes off as harsh, masculine, and/or leathery. It fades from the air fairly quickly, but it stays on the skin--this isn't something you can smell down the hallway, but you can if you are close to a person. I only wish it was a little stronger and lingered a little longer (it typically lasts 4-6 hours on my skin.) Please, please continue to produce this fragrance! I love it!

I bought this looking for a new scent that had some similar notes to Jasmine Bonheur and all I can say is I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! I bought this fragrance 10 years ago, the bottle was similar to Shalimar’s bottle and had a blue ribbon. It was beautiful on me, really cozy. This one has the similar nature but lost longevity and powdery feelings. It’s a nice fragrance, totally recommend .

This has become my signature scent. It is slightly sweet with a beautiful iris and vanilla note that provides a little depth. So smooth and perfectly blended to perfection it's difficult to pick out specific notes. I now have two back up bottles.

L’Initial is a warm, interesting mix of floral and spice, perfect for autumn/winter. More subtle than Shalimar, though I have to admit my favourite Guerlain fragrance is Shalimar.

This is one of my favorite perfumes of all time. It's simply delicious. I have a hard time finding it in department stores but found it here online. So happy!
