Very posh!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This must be a very special perfume for very special occasions. I like how strong it is. It has something Oriental in this fragrance making you feel special, important, independent, standing out of the crowd. I find it very elegant. I enjoy wearing it, makes me feel beautiful and important. Definitely got some compliments while been out and about. Its a great luxurious present.

SEDUCED BY SAMSARA
I read the word harmony while discovering Samsara, and I have to agree: the harmony between the sandalwood and the jasmine is gorgeous. There’s also a bright citrus note playing lightly against those of sweet vanilla and powdery iris. And it’s creamy. It’s strange to think of a fragrance as creamy yet Samsara is creamy. It’s a beautifully balanced floral that is also warm and woody. It seduced me immediately. There are those who long for what Samsara was. But as one newly enticed, I’m thankful for what Samsara is. And that Guerlain continues to provide the opportunity for all of us to fall in love with another of their legendary fragrances.

Not the same Samsara
About six years ago, I bought a bottle of Samsara and absolutely loved it. When that bottle ran out, I was hesitant to buy another one because I read that the scent had changed. Last month, I was shopping for perfume and couldn't find a scent I liked, so I decided to gamble on Samsara. The scent is fine but not what it was before and not nearly as enchanting. If I'd tried this one out in a store, rather than buying it online, I likely would have passed. Again, it's not bad, but it's not anything special either, especially considering the price.

This is not Samsara
I know Samsara as I still have an old bottle. Whatever this perfume you call Samsara is not the old Samsara. I am surprised that you are selling it as Samsara when the formula is very different and it last a second and is gone. Very disappointing as I was really looking forward to but also Guerlain not being honest that this is not the same as the original. I just received it yesterday and what a let down. Guerlain please be transparent and honest when the juice is not the same as the original.

35 Years and counting!
After months of searching the usual stores for this, I finally went directly to the official website. The site even gave me the option to have the bottle engraved for free! I have been wearing Samsara for about 35 years or longer. When I got my first bottle, it wasn’t even in the states yet, so I am used to the red bottle (which I would love to see come back). The scent of Samsara is unforgettable!! Although, the bottle is new, the scent and quality is still amazing. The package was at my door in 3 days. The box and packaging was beautiful, if you have been looking for the Samsara you know and love; it’s still here. If you have never tried Samsara, it is a must try. FYI, it is what I call a “Fall/Winter” scent. If is a little heavier and one spray last ALL day. But, absolutely lovely!

A timeless scent
Samsara has been my most favorite parfum since 1997; when I first smelled it at a shop in Tanzania. I have owned it twice before now, and its scent has been exactly the same. It is, thankfully, the same now. The only difference I’ve noticed is how long the scent stays on my clothes. In 1997 I would spray Samsara on an article of clothing, hoping it would last longer. I would hand wash my clothes, and when they were all washed & dried, the clothing I had sprayed with Samsara, would still smell like Samsara on the spots where I sprayed. I’m not getting the same experience this time. The parfum will last all day long, though, and smells amazing to me. It makes me feel like a million dollars. The price is a bit higher than sensible, but as Seal said: “we’re never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy”

DISAPPOINTED !!! Not the same as original.
I've been wearing this scent for many years & I've always loved it. I believe they've changed the formula because this doesn't have the same smell or long lasting scent it use to have. I'm very disappointed because it is so expensive & I miss the smell it use to be. Fyi I know the scent has changed because people use to stop & compliment me all the time & ask what I was wearing. Now no one even comments on the scent.

Warm, lovely fragrance
I have been wearing Samsara since it was introduced. My family owned a specialty store with imported fragrances for men and women, and I grew up wearing Guerlain fragrances. When I was young, I wore L'Heure Bleue in the winter and Jicky in the summer. When Nahema was introduced I wore it constantly. Then came Samsara, which has an exotic earth & spice fragrance that I love even more now that I live in the mountains.
