I’d be relying mostly on beard oil scents, but realized they faded pretty quickly throughout the day. After using this, I’ve noticed how much I’ve been missing out on. The fragrance lasts for hours and is versatile enough for both daytime wear and upscale casual evenings out. It’s described as “salty woody fougere” with citrus and floral up front, followed by black pepper, cedar wood, and tonka for a fresh masculine finish. This has easily become my go to scent and is far more satisfying than my beard products alone, and definitely receives more compliments so far!

It has a unique packaging that is very convenient to handle. Very versatile to use at any time. If you want an aroma especially that straight looks I recommend this wonderful perfume.

I know it soundsI feel the sea salt and citrus give it an energized yet relaxed and comfortable vibe. I definitely feel this cologne exudes a strong confident, casual yet classy profile. Perfect aroma for date night. The only the reason I gave 4/5 is because it's strong and potent opening spray, not overwhelming by any means, but that initial opening fades rather quickly. The scent is still there but within minutes it significantly loses its potency and projection. The packaging is a beautiful dark blue with gold lettering. The cologne bottle is a deep dark blue glass bottle molded purposely to be rounded and smooth, it is very cool and unique; the center of the face of the glass bottle there is a metal logo (gold in color) "G" resting in a recessed portion of the glass while being secured by a blue leather band/strap. The cap is designed and decorated similarly with a "G" embedded on and into the top, while the sides are wrapped with a blue leather band/strap. The bottle is branded with a "Made in Italy" sticker. Overall I would definitely recommend "Guess - Iconic Blue" cologne.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up, looking for a solid daily driver, and it completely nailed it. It starts off really clean, crisp and salty with a great blast of citrus, but as it dries down you get this really nice warm, lavender and woody vibe that reminds me a bit of Versace Eros but way fresher. What blew me away is the performance for a fresh blue fragrance. I easily get 7 to 8 hours on skin and it leaves a great scent trail without being totally overpowering. It is super versatile, gets tons of compliments, and is a major win for warm weather.

So I think most people would agree that Guess fragrances don’t come with high expectations or any hype and this one is no different. In my opinion and based on what I smell off my skin, it opens with bright citrus, lavender and powdery tonka. It gives a decent blue type feel but not your typical blue, more so in a similar vein as Ralph Club EDT. This by no means is a clone/dupe of that just gets in a similar space. However, that is very brief. Once it hits the mid and begins to dry down it starts to resemble another Guess fragrance perfumed by the same perfumer and that fragrance is Guess Los Angeles 1981, which if you are familiar bares striking similarities and is constantly compared to Eros. Now, it is different enough with nuances that separate itself but at its core it is a very closely related DNA. Where this has lemon and sea salt at the top, and lavender in the mid replacing the mint and ginger in the mid and tobacco, amber in the base from 1981. When compared to Eros, it lacks the mint, apple that it’s known for with the vanilla in the base but none the less you get the same feel from this one. It seems to be a reimagined, fresher version of those in an attempt to make it more of a blue type fragrance. Nothing spectacular in terms of originality and seemingly takes inspirations from her previous Guess creation. Projection is decent for about an hour or so. Longevity is more of a surprise as most Guess fragrances are about 5-6 hours. This seems to be a true EDP with about 8+ hours as I sprayed on this morning at 7 and can still pick it up here an there even now at 5:45. It’s an easy dumb reach but wouldn’t recommend paying full retail for it. Give it a few months a get it discounted if you like that type of DNA. Not super disappointed but expected more given this is an older, played out scent profile. I would give it a 6.5/10, not bad but nothing to hype.

From the initial spritz with an intriguing citrus blast from the bergamot and lemon oil to the settled in scent of vanilla from the tonka beans, Guess Iconic Blue delivers an intoxicating profile that lasts all day. I usually judge a cologne by the reaction from my wife when she smells it on me for the first time. I call it the mmmm rating. In this case, she got her first smell on me and the rating was a resounding mmmmmmm.
