The first impression comes with a punch of citric notes followed by a floral wave that makes you feel relaxed. There’s also a calming herbal layer that feels sweet and mysterious, something I would call bohemian-chic. The packaging is cute, sophisticated, and elegant, a great teaser for what I guess is the full-sized bottle. After trying the sample size I’m sure I will buy the bigger version of the Cut.

The atomizer is super easy to use and does not leak. This was my first time using Penhaligon, they are British perfumery known for their timeless elegance and masculine charm. This is a woodsy base. With notes of bergamot and mandarin, lavender. This is captivating, you can wear this every day or a nice dinner. This is an Eau de Perfume and will last for over 5 hours, no need to reapply. This scent lingers a long time; I do have oil combination skin and tend to sweat more. This sample will be able to last over a month and you can try it out to see if you have any allergies or see how it smells on you.

Performance is decent, around 6 hours on my skin, though I wish it lasted a bit longer for the price this sells at. Still, it feels versatile enough for both work and evenings out. Overall, The Cut strikes a nice balance between classic and contemporary. This is something I would definitely wear out to a nice dinner or a business meeting. Will definitely be looking for a full bottle soon.

A up to date fougere that’s some aromatic greeness and is smoothed out with a little lavender and clarysage and finished with woods. This is definitely on my bottle list coming up. I received a factory sample from influencer so I used half (about 1 ml) and the performance is pretty good. I assume with actual atomizer sprays from a bottle this would be even better. I’m so glad I got a sample of this because Penhaligans isn’t even on my radar as I always thought there scents were a little old school for my taste. This definitely proved my wrong. This is an all season wear except when it’s super hot out. Dressed up or down as well. 8.5/10 can’t wait to get my hands on some more of this.
