Sanatal Vanille Large Jar Candle Bakhoor

The only reason I gave this candle two stars instead of one is the beautiful container it’s in. However, even unlit the fragrance is minimal. I had to put my nose right down next to the wax to discern it. but I’d hoped the warmth of the flame would dispurse the fragrance more intensely. This did not happen. This fragrance is incredibly dreamy! The notes of vanilla are smooth and creamy, balanced by the warm undertones of Santal creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. When lit, the scent slowly builds in the room offering a good range of throw that is easily detectable. The scent of the candle is complimented by the glossy white glass jar that is a beautiful decorative piece. I like to keep this candle on my bedside table, it's a great candle to light in the evening while settling down as the aroma is so calming and seductive. Play some Marvin Gaye, turn down the lights, and let the fragrance lead you into the night.

This is the first time I purchase a Voluspa candle. It was a blind buy and was expecting for the price to have a candle with a great throw. Especially for what the description of the scent is. Now, I wasn’t expecting my whole house to have the scent, but at least the room it was burning in. I can only get a good sniff of it if I am directly over it, and while the formulation of the scent is beautiful, it’s not what I was expecting as far as quality. It seems as though more time was spent on the decoration of the jar than the actual effectiveness of the scent. Very sad it wasn’t what I had anticipated.

I love all Voluspa candles and I buy almost exclusively Voluspa and this new fragrance doesn't disappoint. I'm not always a huge vanilla-scented person, but this is a very warm, sexy, mature vanilla fragrance, I would say it's closely related to Baltic Amber. I would say this is not as strong as most other Voluspa candles, which really fill a room when burning, but it still does make a lovely impression. Even though this one strikes me as more of a fall/winter candle, I can't help but burning it in the middle of summer! Will definitely be repurchasing and would recommend!

Not one person can smell this candle. I’ve had it going for hours most days and no one can detect a scent. For the price I would have expected a little more. It is a pretty jar but definitely not worth the price.

Best scent EVER!!! Everyone who comes into my home raves about this scent. I have gifted so many of these! It is an amazing scent, not sweet which makes it so perfect. My signature house scent!
