[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the bottle - it’s a fun shape that looks and feels expensive but also reminds me of an old video game character. On me, the scent pulls very floral, specifically jasmine, with a hint of orange. It’s a very summer-y fragrance. I’m very sensitive to smells and so like most of my perfumes, one spray is enough for me. I know others complained about longevity but after 12 hours of wear, I still smelled the fragrance on me (albeit less). While I’m personally not huge into florals, I will continue to use this because I love layering it with Jo Malone’s Wood Sage and Sea Salt. I really think Dior nailed this fragrance considering their description of the perfume!

While the original J'adore leans more like a floral, shampooey clean fragrance, L'Or takes the original notes and paints them into a golden haze - equal parts dreamy and sophisticated. There are moments you think a creamy sweet fruit note will come forward, but they stay neatly tucked in, just dancing at the surface - giving this the suggestion of leaning gourmand but never quite pushing across categories. This is a warm floral through and through. Even the bottle reflects the new flanker fragrance. Personally, I consider this a masterpiece...I just wish it wore for longer and with more sillage.
