If you wanna get compliments left and right about how amazing you smell this is the perfume for you just a couple of squirts on your neck and wrist. Blast you all night. The packaging of the perfume is absolutely gorgeous. Vibrant and spicy, warm and sensual. Dolce&Gabbana Velvet Zafferano, the new fragrance from the Velvet Collection, this perfume is worth every penny and will be in my new collection of perfumes. I can’t get over how amazing it smells.! And it smells different than any perfume there is not one like this one !!

The saffron is bold right from the start—warm, slightly spicy, and very rich. It gives the fragrance a golden, exotic quality that feels both opulent and mysterious. As it settles, I notice hints of leather and a touch of sweetness that add depth without making it overwhelming. It’s not your everyday perfume—it leans more elegant and refined, something I’d reach for on a special night or a confident day out. Long-lasting with great projection, it wraps you in a sophisticated aura. Definitely a statement fragrance if you love warm, spicy, niche-style perfumes.

It leans a little masculine to me, while still being very sensual for a woman to wear. The saffron is very heavy, followed by sweet tobacco. I get a little whiff of vanilla in the background. It reminds me of Baccarat Rouge, (probably because of the saffron) but I like it more. I would suggest wearing this primarily in the winter and fall as it is a strong perfume that PROJECTS, and the heavy notes might make it a bit suffocating in hot or humid weather. On me, it lasts a full day which is very rare. My skin tends to eat perfumes up so I’m typically a frequent reapplier. I did not need to do that with this at all.

I usually gravitate toward lighter, more floral scents and this one felt a bit too heavy and intense. The notes are rich and warm, with a strong emphasis on saffron and spice, which adds to the overall heaviness of the scent. There’s something about it that comes across as old-fashioned almost like a scent from another era. It’s definitely bold, but not in a way that suits my personal taste. While I can see how it might appeal to others who prefer deeper, more vintage inspired perfumes, it’s just not for me.
