Good volume
First of all, I love that this mascara is total black. If you want a natural look then one coat is enough. Add more layers if you want greater volume and ticker and curled lashes.  I'm surprised that it worked even on my horrible straight lashes. It gave a medium lenght and good lift to the lashes on the outer corners. However it didn't separate my lashes enough, but glued some of them together. I found the formula on the applicator a bit fluffy and dry maybe that's the reason. It smudged on the upper eyelid but this happen with plenty of mascara. The brush is big and I personally prefer thinner applicator to reach tiny lashes. Overall If you want an extreme/false lashes look I don't think this mascara is for you, unless you use it with another one. If your main concern is the lack of volume then go for it

Your Mum's Mascara?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara has been around forever, so I thought it must be a classic for a reason! Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The packaging is simple but the gold lettering is nice. The wand is standard and the formula seems fine, a bit chunky on the wand but it applied ok, it wasn't clumpy or anything. However, I felt it had a bit of a chemically smell, so I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive eyes (or noses). It claims to be a full-volume mascara but I really had to apply quite a few layers to build up some volume. Even using a lash curler, I felt it didn't hold a curl. It does add a decent amount of length though. It lasted pretty well throughout the day and was easy to remove. I think for the price point there are much better mascaras on the market. It reminded me of something I'd find in my Mum's make-up bag, a classic brand that gives a little colour and length. It's not something I'd buy myself but it was nice to try!

max factor review
the product was okay. not hugely impressed as other stuff I have tried from this brand has been the most amazing experience in terms of makeup and skincare. this product was mediocre and you can find better brow products at the drugstore. would not buy again

Maxfactor mascara
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I have long yet not very think eyelashes I like to add as much volume to them as I can without having lashes like spiders legs. I found this mascara provided me with even lash coverage from the wand, however as the mascara itself is thick in consistency I had to apply several coats to get a desired effect. If you want a subtle lift to your lashes this would be right for you but unfortunately not for me. On a positive note however after a day of wearing this mascara running round like a lunatic it did not smudge or run so it does have long lasting wearing.

An okay every day mascara
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara was fine, pretty average in terms of lengthening but good at volumising. Personally I prefer a smaller plastic wand, this mascara comes with a more fluffy bigger wand which made it slightly messy when applying. The colour is a good dark black and it did do a good job at making my lashes look thicker but I did have to play around a lot to get them to look the way I wanted. As an everyday mascaras this is good but if you want a more dramatic look to for your lashes to stand out more which is what I typically want, then this might not be right for you. It was pretty easy to remove which was a great plus and it didn’t sting my eyes at all. I think there are definitely better products out there at a similar price point these days.

Not What it used to be
I've used this mascara since my teens and I am now nearly 50. I have always used the waterproof version but the last two I have bought have been rubbish. Not waterproof at all and give panda eyes in a few hours. It is also more 'sticky' and clumps lashes together, the top lashes stick to the bottoms lashes too. The tube dries up much quicker than it used to do too. Over all, very disappointed with what seems to be a change in formula, a once loyal customer is now trying alternatives.

good product for a good price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this mascara last week via We Are Eves to test, thank you for this opportunity! @maxfactor Usually I am using higher price class mascaras, so I was really curious what will I think of this one. For me most important is that it really does not leave smudges and actually stays on whole day. Meaning I do not look like panda bear in the evening. And that eyelashes are not glued together. After a few days of using I can say: It separates nicely the eyelashes, without making them really heavy and thick, not sure if that is the intention or not, but I liked it. Wanted the natural look so I did one layer only. It did not stay on all day, but it was not so bad at the end, I had much worse with other brands Brush is rather big & thick, had to get use to it. Prefer thinner/smaller brushes. Overall rate good product for a good price

Deze mascara valt me tegen,
Deze mascara gebruikte ik vroeger altijd, maar dat is echt ruim 10 jaar geleden. Ondanks zag ik deze in de aanbieding en ik dacht: laat ik deze weer eens proberen! Helaas echt een miskoop. Doet echt nauwelijks iets voor mijn wimpers. Moet vaak opnieuw met het borsteltje in de houder om er genoeg mascara op te krijgen. Vind het ook lastig om laagjes op te bouwen met deze mascara en hij geeft dus weinig volume aan mijn wimpers en dat is juist wel wat ik zoek.
