Cool mix of ingredients in a sophisticated fragran
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cut is a very fresh and clean perfume with young vibes that is appropriate for any occasion. The first impression comes with a punch of citric notes followed by a floral wave that makes you feel relaxed. There’s also a calming herbal layer that feels sweet and mysterious, something I would call bohemian-chic. The packaging is cute, sophisticated, and elegant, a great teaser for what I guess is the full-sized bottle. After trying the sample size I’m sure I will buy the bigger version of the Cut.

Amazing 🤩
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a sample and I love it so much. the size is super convivence to throw in your gym or work bag. The atomizer is super easy to use and does not leak. This was my first time using Penhaligon, they are British perfumery known for their timeless elegance and masculine charm. This is a woodsy base. With notes of bergamot and mandarin, lavender. This is captivating, you can wear this every day or a nice dinner. This is an Eau de Perfume and will last for over 5 hours, no need to reapply. This scent lingers a long time; I do have oil combination skin and tend to sweat more. This sample will be able to last over a month and you can try it out to see if you have any allergies or see how it smells on you.

The Cut is a fresh, modern fougère with classy tai
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Penhaligon’s The Cut is a really classy fragrance. It opens with a sharp freshness—mint and herbs that feel crisp, almost like putting on a perfectly tailored suit. As it settles, the woods and green notes come through, giving it a refined but modern character. To me, it’s like a younger, fresher take on a fougère—elegant without being stuffy. Performance is decent, around 6 hours on my skin, though I wish it lasted a bit longer for the price this sells at. Still, it feels versatile enough for both work and evenings out. Overall, The Cut strikes a nice balance between classic and contemporary. This is something I would definitely wear out to a nice dinner or a business meeting. Will definitely be looking for a full bottle soon.

Banger
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a banger. Straight up gentleman scent made modern. A up to date fougere that’s some aromatic greeness and is smoothed out with a little lavender and clarysage and finished with woods. This is definitely on my bottle list coming up. I received a factory sample from influencer so I used half (about 1 ml) and the performance is pretty good. I assume with actual atomizer sprays from a bottle this would be even better. I’m so glad I got a sample of this because Penhaligans isn’t even on my radar as I always thought there scents were a little old school for my taste. This definitely proved my wrong. This is an all season wear except when it’s super hot out. Dressed up or down as well. 8.5/10 can’t wait to get my hands on some more of this.

Clean woody scent

From the start, it feels fresh with that minty, green vibe, and then it settles into something more woody with cypress, cedar, and fir balsam. It smells clean, crisp, and a little bold—definitely has that “tailored suit” confidence they describe on the card. On me, the longevity is around 4–5 hours before it fades, which isn’t super long but still decent for a daytime wear. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid woody fragrance if you like something fresh yet grounded. I also like to wear it on hot summer days, it makes me feel more fresh and nice.

Bold but not for every day

As a guy, I like how bold it feels, definitely makes a statement. That said, it’s not something I’d wear every day—it’s more for nights out or when I want to stand out. Lasts well on the skin and feels very high quality, just maybe a little too strong for casual wear. Glad I tested it first, because it’s a cool scent but not an all-rounder.
