With my severe asthma allergies the scent was too strong for me. It did give me a headache, but for people looking for that it's perfect. The scent was nice but it wasn't the type of scent that I would wear. My son said the scent is for an older generation. But you could tell the scent was made of good top quality ingredients and is a very top shelf perfume.

Unfortunately this scent is one that gives me headaches. I love trying new things which I'm bummed this scent wasn't for me. The scent is too strong for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Red Door Eau de Toilette Spray by Elizabeth Arden is a fragrance that I've seen and heard about my entire life, and although I'm an avid fragrance purchaser and user, this particular one had escaped me. I did know that the Elizabeth Arden brand is historically well-excepted and appointed as a luxury brand honored in women's cosmetics. I need to research the brand again, but, if I recall correctly, Ms.Arden was THE pioneer for women's beautification. A spa was opened up for women a long time ago, and the front DOOR to the spa was painted with a bright RED color. When developing a new bold fragrance that iconic Red Door was honored and the fragrance was named. This newly designed bottle is an exact replica of that iconic glossy red front door! This bottle is definitely one of my favorites and a real keepsake to a time past, while honoring women's existence in the future!!! How do I describe this very unique scent? Well, let me first say what it is not. It's not light. It's not overly strong. It doesn't vanish in twenty minutes. It doesn't make people flee small spaces. It's not overly girly, but it is feminine. It's not recognizable, yet people will know you by this scent. It's soft, and fresh, yet BOLD. It gives more female CEO than female cheerleader, although it's definitely a game changer. It made of rich freesia florals, red roses, orchids, honey, and sandalwood. It starts out strong for me, but after a few seconds of letting it settle, it becomes a beautiful fragrance that is a bit fresh, while also being a bit musky! It's so unpretentious and unique! I adore it! (And at first sniff, thought I hated it! Wow! Then chemistry happened, and mind opened. Sensory expanded ) You HAVE to test this on your body chemistry. My daughter applied it and instantly said that it was not for her. Then I sprayed my own wrists, and waited a few minutes, and let her sniff, and she was in shock how well it worked for ME. Red Door Eau de Toilette Spray by Elizabeth Arden may not work for everyone, but if it works for YOU, it'll become your signature fragrance for life, like it has become for myself!!! I can visit an area and leave, and a friend can walk into that same area, 5 minutes later, and know that I was there. Isn't that what we want in this life? Everyone knows how I love to try new fragrances. Well the design of the bottle is awesome. The scent of the fragrance smells amazing I just can’t describe it but it smells amazing. The scent is very strong that when I took a shower the smell of the fragrance was still on me. I would recommend this fragrance.

The bottle, which is in the shape of a red door, is cute enough to keep out on the dresser. Just a spray or two is plenty for a light scent that lasts all day. With all the new compliments I have been receiving, this is now my favorite.

It’s not my scent notes but I was excited to try this new product! I like the packaging, quality and ingredients! I love trying new perfumes! The scent notes are much stronger than I expected.
