I bought the BTS 50 and could not be happier with this product! Very easy to operate at night with just one button. I have logged well over 100hrs of run time with this scope in Extreme cold weather NEVER bringing the optic in from the cold and it held up flawless. I did purchase extra batteries and it is very easy to change out batteries in the dark with this thermal. I would recommend this thermal to anyone that does not like dealing with complicated options. I have 2 BTS 50 thermals I have killed numerous pigs with them in all types of weather clear picture and very simple to operate. I love white hot as that's what I shot on tanks in the Army. Battery life is good I like the quick change out ability in the field not having to carry a pocket full of batteries. Great Product.

Just bought a few days ago. This morning the hot track spotted a deer at the very back of my field 700-800 yrds that I could hardly see with field glasses. It took three attempts with field glasses to finally find him he blended in very well with the fresh cut wheat. This was broad daylight and a thermal scope was showing me something large as a deer that I was going to miss. This scope is great at night I can easily see a mouse running on hay bales at 75 yards, birds in trees at 200 yards, deep into the woods. Regular night vision gives better details but thermal is king nothing can escape it. I can't tell one bird from another of the same size I can positively identify rabbits, coons, dogs from coyotes, hogs from cows, and any other animal at distance. If within 50yrds the details are great, 100 to 150 really good, 200 still good, 250 to 300 fair but even out to 300 to 400 or farther I believe I can tell what most animals are. I will be buying the clip on in 35 when I can find one the BTS-50 has impressed me that much. I'm wanting the clip on in 35 to use as a hand held and maybe double to use on a day scope. This scope is holding zero mounted on a AR15 if it holds zero on my M1A I'll be a happy camper. I had a ATN night vision that wouldn't hold zero and couldn't get the company interested enough to help. It had plenty of bells and whistles compared to this Burris but are useless if it won't hold zero. I'm very impressed with my purchase

I purchased the BTC50 about 6 months ago and the mount I needed was out of stock. After waiting a few months with not being able to purchase what I needed, I built my own and was finally able to put the thermal to the test. The simplicity of this system, the outstanding results, the ability to attach to an existing scope without having to re-sight in each time is really a nice feature. After a couple target shots to validate shot placement, the day tool becomes a 24-7 exterminator. The batteries don't last very long but the rechargeable options have been a worthy investment. With steady activity the thermal seems to last about 2 hours so plan accordingly. The standby mode gains a little time but it continues to drain the battery such that I don't really plan on much of a time gain with this feature. I still plan 2 hours per fully recharged set and this has kept me well stocked during hunts. The power cord is a huge battery saving tool if you are able to plug-in while hunting. The cap for the power cord is difficult to re-secure but with patience, it eventually re-nests properly. The protective case has a nice thick padding to protect the thermal when not in use as well. Overall, with the setup that I have and the mount that works with multiple scopes on a variety of platforms I am very satisfied with this Burris Thermal. Others have written on the clarity, ease of predator identification even out to a couple thousand yards and I echo all these benefits. I have struggled with close range identification - the viewing window at close range is small, but for my use most activity is 60 yards out to 2000+ and this system has been amazing for these applications. Strongly recommended.
