Once iconic, now a disapointment
This perfume is was once what i would have used to define myself, feeling naked without it. After opening a 90ml bottle recently gifted to me, i feel cheated. The old cinema would linger, you could even smell it on your bed linen days after. The scent would change throughout the night, fleeting through warm vanillas sweet citrus and musky notes. Now you are lucky if their is any evidence of its use with two hours, the perfume is weak and forgettable. The colour of the liquid is even anemic in comparison. I have never felt so dispointed, YSL please do let me know if you ever decide to bring back the old gold.

Will never wear another fragrance again
I first tried YSL Cinema when I was 14 years of age and my mother received a sample in a magazine. My parents weren't to keen of the idea of me wearing perfume so I kept the sample and used it until there was nothing left. I saved the sample, just to keep the fragrance. For my next birthday my parents bought me my first bottle. Now, 14 years later this is perfume is more of an identity than a fragrance.

One of my favorite fragrances
Very feminine and sophisticated fragrance. I had Elle, Baby Doll, In Love Again, Black Opium, but only Cinema I've repurchased when my previous bottle ended. I got this as a gift in 2007 but it's composition is rather modern now. Clementine, soft vanilla, almonds and bouquet of flowers. And it has very elegant powdery drydown on my skin in a few hours. I hope it will never be discontinued.)

Love Cinema but scent not as strong
My fave perfume of all time and nothing like it, but I am interested to know if they have changed any of the dosage in the bottle as the scent is no where near as strong and lasting as it used to be. Have been wearing this for 20 years and find it so hard to find a perfume that comes anywhere near this. Love!! Make it stronger please

Une belle parfum!
Beautiful fragrance. I always receive compliments whenever I wear it. Plus, my husband adores the smell. While a little goes a long way, it is no way overpowering. I hope YSL never discontinues the scent as it is my "signature" fragrance. My only complaint is that I can only purchase online, but c'est la vie.

Once a true gem...
I guess it happens to the best.. For almost 13 years Cinéma has accompanied me to every memorable event in my life. A spritz or two was like covering yourself in a shimmering golden veil - it was simply the most sensual yet fresh scent there is and man, the dry-down.. let's just say that smelling worn clothes had never ever been that good. But the last two bottles I've bought were not the same. No longer does the bottle work its old magic. This fragrance has been reformulated and it has broken my heart. It now smells like a faint memory of what Cinéma used to be. After an initial burst of its citrusy warm magic, it quickly fades into oblivion. Where is that almost cognac-ish gorgeous dry-down? What happened to the sillage and longevity?! I didn't want to give up and bought another bottle clinging on to its memory and hoping I got it wrong. Nope - it's just not the same product. So here's an appeal, YSL: Please bring back the old formula that so many of us loved.. Mend our hearts!!

One of my all-time favorite fragrances — truly irr
Cinema by Yves Saint Laurent is truly one of a kind. From the first spray, I fell in love with its warm, elegant, and unforgettable scent. I’m very sad it’s no longer being produced, because I have never found another fragrance that compares to it. A timeless and irreplaceable perfume.

No longer the same eau de parfum it was once
This parfum used to be my favorite when it first came out . Now unfortunately it is just a vague memory of the original fragrance. Extremely watered down for a eau de parfum , doesn't last, lost its touch . My guess is YSL changed the formula . it honestly deserves only 2 stars ...
